SMS Terms

Aikudo Activity Notifications

The program is operated by Spencer Sakata under the Aikudo name. Contact contact@aikudo.com for program support. These terms apply to the optional SMS preference on our pilot-interest form.

SMS delivery is not active yet. Submitting the form saves pending consent only. It does not send a text, verify identity or phone ownership, reserve an event place, or guarantee messaging availability.

1. Optional enrollment

To request SMS, enter a US mobile number you control and affirmatively select the separate, initially unchecked SMS checkbox. You must be at least 18. You can register interest and participate without agreeing to SMS. Consent is not a condition of purchase. No payment details are requested.

Aikudo will require phone-control verification and applicable carrier registration before enabling delivery. A valid-looking number is not proof of control. You must notify support if you stop controlling or reassign a number previously enrolled.

2. Message purpose and frequency

The program covers confirmations, reminders, changes, cancellations and attendance-related updates for activities you join or organize. It is not consent to advertising, general event promotions or a marketing list. Message frequency varies based on the activities you join or organize. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Check with your carrier about charges.

3. Stop messages or get help

When texting is active, reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Following an opt-out, a single confirmation message may be sent; activity notifications should then stop unless you provide new valid consent. You can withdraw your pending preference now by removing your saved signup from the same browser and domain, or by emailing contact@aikudo.com.

SMS keywords are not currently a live customer-support channel. Do not rely on a text reply while delivery is inactive. Do not send passwords, private reflections or identity documents by SMS.

4. Delivery limitations

Availability depends on your carrier, device, network and Aikudo’s service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messages are informational: a delivered reminder or an attendance prompt does not prove attendance or safety. The program is not monitored for emergencies and does not replace emergency services or an activity’s agreed contact arrangements.

5. Privacy and changes

Read the Privacy Policy for collection, storage, retention and withdrawal details. Mobile numbers and messaging consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may revise or discontinue the program; a different messaging purpose will require appropriate new consent.
